This piece from Sydney Festival TV followed the production of Michel Tuffery’s work O le Povi Pusa, for Edge of Elsewhere this year. It also includes interviews with artists Shigeyuki Kihara, Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba and the project curators, Lisa Havilah and Aaron Seeto, and Michael Dagostino.

Perspectives on Curating & Programming: Beyond the Edge of Elsewhere

Another new video! This one is part of a series produced by the College of Fine Arts (UNSW) examing new curatorial practices in Australia. Titled, Perspectives on Curating & Programming: Beyond the Edge of Elsewhere, it features two of our project’s curators; Lisa Havilah, Director, Carriageworks and Aaron Seeto, Director, 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. Also interviewed is John Kirkman, Director, Penrith Performing & Visual Arts.

Edge of Elsewhere 2010 – ABC TV

Ross Brady from ABC TV visited Campbelltown Arts Centre and surrounding suburbs in February, 2010 to do a piece about the first stage of Edge of Elsewhere. The story includes excerpts from interviews with artists Lisa Reihana and Newell Harry, along with Campbelltown Arts Centre Director, Lisa Havilah.

Documentation of YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INSUTRIES workshop OHMANSLAND 5000: A VISIONARY COMMUNITY at Campbelltown Arts Centre, 2010.

In November 2010 YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES undertook a series of two-day workshops at Campbelltown Arts Centre and 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. The workshops were attended by members of the community who answered a public call to meet the artists, learn basic Flash animation techniques and the respond in text to the idea ‘ a future city’. These texts formed the basis of YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES new works for Edge of Elsewhere 2011.
